Wild flowers lecture

Where have all the wild flowers gone?

That’s the question which will be asked at the Manx Museum this evening as Manx National Heritage continues its series of winter lectures.

Andree Dubbledam will give an illustrated talk about his work in managing the Wild Flowers of Mann project and his mission to encourage the Island’s native flora to thrive.

The Isle of Man has already lost a number of species, including types of orchid and violets, and the rate of extinction is still accelerating.

Threats such as as climate change, development and habitat change are all contributing to the problem.

Doors open at 7pm and admission is free of charge.
