Witness appeal launched after RTC

Car collided in Kewaigue at around 2:05am

There's a call for witnesses to a road traffic collision in Douglas in the early hours of this morning (Sat).

Police say a dark coloured Toyota car was driving at speed along the Old Castletown Road near the Nunnery, before it collided in Kewaigue at around 2:05am.

Consequentially, the road was closed for a number of hours while emergency services dealt with the incident, and an investigation was undertaken.

Officers from the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team believe other road users will have seen what happened.

Anyone with information is asked to provide police with a statement by calling Police Headquarters on 631212.
