A 26 year-old woman who stole £2,500 from her employer has been given a six month prison term suspended for two years.
Roisin Theresa Devlin of Brunswick Road, Douglas admitted taking the money from Principles between January and July.
The company noticed discrepancies and called the police.
Devlin made a full admission to officers, saying she had been struggling financially after separating from her partner and the money wasn’t spent on luxuries.
High Bailiff Michael Moyle said it was a serious breach of trust and told Devlin she had narrowly avoided going to prison.
