Vessel owned by Manx company sank last summer
Work is expected to start in the coming days examining the wreck of a superyacht owned by a Manx company, after it was recovered from the seabed off Sicily in a £22 million salvage operation.
The Bayesian, owned by Douglas-based Revtom, sank in a storm last summer with the loss of seven passengers and crew, including UK Tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah.
The hull of the vessel is currently drying out in a metal cradle in the port of Termini Imerese, ahead of the commencement of forensic tests ordered by prosecutors.
An interim report into the sinking of the Bayesian was issued by UK's Marine Accident Investigation Branch in May.
