Workshop on Island's healthcare system

Two sessions being held today (Tues 29)

There's a chance to have your say on the future of the Island's health and public care system this afternoon.

A workshop is being held, looking at how the Island can deliver safe, efficient, affordable, high-quality services, and where these should be provided.

It will also explore whether it’s time to transform the overall health and care ‘offer’ by adopting a new delivery model.

Today's event will take place over two sessions: the first is at Braddan New Church Hall from 2pm to 4pm; that will be followed by an evening session at Keyll Darree on the Noble's Hospital site between 7pm and 9pm.

The sessions build on similar gatherings held in September and October last year, when the independent review team led by Sir Jonathan Michael invited input from the community on how best to provide modern, fit-for-purpose health and social care services.

Another workshop will take place on Tuesday, 5 February.
