Douglas lifeboat rescued three people yesterday (Sunday) following a fire on a boat.
The lifeboat launched at 3.30pm after a distress call was received from a yacht, five miles off the town.
The blaze broke out in the engine room and was extinguished by the on board fire control system.
The lifeboat towed the yacht to Douglas, where coastguard officers helped check the vessel and its crew.
The three people were unharmed by their ordeal.
