Peel lifeboat crews called out in challenging conditions
A yacht had to be towed to safety by one of the Island's lifeboat crews after losing steering and power off the west coast.
Peel RNLI was called out at around 7.30pm on Monday evening after the 36ft vessel encountered difficulties during challenging sea conditions while on its way from Holyhead in North Wales to Peel.
Force seven winds and waves as high as six metres led to debris becoming tangled in the propeller, leaving the four people on board stranded.
Peel's lifeboat team determined the safest way to deal with the situation was to tow the vessel into port, arriving back on station four hours after launch.
