Storm Dennis is already creating trouble on the Island, causing various cancellations.

On the seas, this morning's 8:45 crossing to Heysham and its afternoon return journey have been cancelled and this evening's 8:30 sailing is subject to possible disruption or cancellation.

A decision will be made by the Steam Packet Company by 5:30pm on whether or not it will go ahead.

You can contact the Reservations Team after 7:15am on 661661.

A number of flights to and from Ronaldsway have also had to be cancelled, the airport is asking you to check before you travel.

In local sport, waterlogged pitches and high winds have lead to the cancellation of the majority of today's matches in the Manx football league.

A full list of the fixtures affected can be found on the Manx Radio sports page.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping, severe gales up to 65mph and heavy rain.
