Emily Bridson the first to experience a day in the life of Sir John Lorimer
The first candidate chosen to experience a day in the life of The Governor says it's opened her eyes to what the position involves.
Emily Bridson says she was only aware of Sir John Lorimer's ceremonial role before shadowing him.
If the internship goes well, it's hoped a new candidate aged between 19 and 25 will be chosen each month.
Emily believes much of the success of the Governor's role is down to Sir John:
Fuel supplies to the Island remain 'reliable'
Government joins Sunflower Hidden Disabilities scheme
Peace Plaque installed in Hutchinson Square
