Young people invited to talk about leisure facilities

Young people in the Isle of Man are being invited to discuss how facilities for them could be improved.

Those in the 14 to 23 age group can drop in at the Isle of Man College on May 5, to talk about what's already available for them, and anything else they think should be provided.

Local authorities, voluntary organisations and departments of government will be among the other groups at the forum.

The invitation comes as part of the consultation by the Young Persons' Working Group set up by the chief minister in February.

The Working Group, chaired by Education Minister Anne Craine, aims to review existing leisure facilities for 14 to 23 year-olds and decide whether any improvements are needed.

Anyone interested or involved in social facilities and activities for the Island's young people are welcome take part in the discussion.

The open forum will be in the college restaurant for four hours, from 5pm.
