Zero-hours contracts may suit some workers - Quayle

CM welcomes reforms but defends flexible labour market

Recommendations to prevent employers abusing staff on zero-hours contracts are to be welcomed, according to the chief minister.

Howard Quayle told members of Tynwald he wants to minimise the lack of stability surrounding the contracts, but stopped short of opposing them.

Some have raised concerns about possible exploitation of those in the flexible labour market.

But Mr Quayle believes there are some in society who benefit from zero-hours contracts:
