Appointment announced by Lieutenant Governor
Zoe Cannell has been announced as the 6th Manx Bard at a special event at Moorhouse Farm.
Zoe's name was announced by Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney.
The idea for a Manx Bard was proposed by Bridge Carter some years ago, with the first being announced in 2014 as TE Brown.
Four living Manx Bards have been announced since - Stacey Astill, John 'Dog' Callister, Sara Goodwin and Annie Kissack.
Zoe says she's delighted to have been appointed:
Friday evening sailings subject to possible disruption or cancellation
More services to be temporarily relocated from Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital
Warning in place for coastal overtopping
Port St Mary father continues to fight for change in drug laws
