'Significant changes' planned for schedule
The dates for the 2024 North West 200 road-racing event have been announced.
Organisers of the races have confirmed next year's meeting will be held from 6-11 May with Saturday 11 May designated as the principal race day.
Furthermore, those behind the event say 'significant changes' are being made to the schedule for 2024 following consultation with road racing teams.
Among the alterations, a new superbike race will be added on the Thursday evening programme (9 May) alongside the familiar Supersport and Superstock races.
It's hoped, organisers add, this will allow visitors on that day to see all the major outfits in action.
Elsewhere, the schedule on the Saturday (11 May) will now see two four-lap Supertwin races whilst the Supersport, Superstock and Superbike contests on the same day will each be run over six laps.
Further updates on other details of the 2024 races will be announced in due course.
