Manx eight-ball pool player David Addinall began to show his quality in his second major event since gaining professional status earlier this year.

In the Scottish Professional event, Addinall matched his success from his debut in Cardiff earlier in the year, and again reached the last 32 in Aberdeen.

He beat England's Jamie Clarke 8-7 in the round of 64, which was streamed live online and on Freesports TV, before losing to Jack Whelan in the last 32 on Sunday (18).

In the Open event, Addinall got as far as the last 16 stage where he was beaten by Jon McAllister, who went on to win the tournament.
