Organisers of Rally Isle of Man believe historic cars can provide the future for success.
After last year's cancellation, it was announced yesterday (Thursday) that the event is to return in late September.
It will incorporate the final round of the British Historic Rally Championship and the Duke Stages Rally.
Chairman of the organising committee John Gill says a change in direction was important after a year out:
