Bishop Robert is urging politicians in the Isle of Man to consider global issues and the long term good of future generations.
In his message for the New Year, he says the Island's policy makers risk losing sight of world problems as they prepare for the House of Keys general election in September.
Bishop Robert says local issues are important, but those who seek to represent the Manx public should not forget the 'bigger picture'.
He says big challenges will have to be faced in the coming months, but the impact of decisions on individuals is what matters:
