'Trim the civil service', says Middle candidate

A general election candidate believes the Isle of Man's civil service has become too big and costly, and is involved in too many areas.

Howard Quayle, who is standing as an independent in Middle, says the Island can no longer afford to employ the number of people it does at present.

On Talking Heads today (Wednesday), Mr Quayle said the current situation must be addressed by the next administration (listen to audio file below):

Two other people have so far declared their intention to stand in Middle, Liberal Vannin candidate Juan Cottier and sitting member Martyn Quayle.
