Mark McGreal wins in the Men's Singles.
Isle of Man has won the opening round of the Men's Singles Bowls at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Mark McGreal beat Jersey's Taylor Greechan in Glasgow today (23 July).
He won both sets, 10-5 and 9-6.
Mark will be back on the rink against Royden Aperau of the Cook Islands on Saturday.
Meanwhile, earlier in the day Isle of Man were beaten in the opening round of the Women's Pairs Bowls.
Caroline Whitehead and Paula Garrett lost both sets to Guernsey.
Despite losing the first set 5-1, the duo fought hard to stay in the tie, levelling the second set 2-2, however, they ultimately lost 3-2.
