Double success for Manx archer in latest competition
Manx archer Lesley Sleight has bagged another medal and a new record during her latest competition in the UK last weekend.
Taking part in the English Field Archery Association (EFAA) English Bowhunter Championships near Sutton-in-Ashfield on Saturday and Sunday (8-9 June), Sleight went on to claim silver in the Ladies American Flatbow Class.
Joining her on the podium was Claude Rouschmeyer who claimed the championship title whilst finishing just behind was Sophie Twigg who bagged bronze in third.
Along with the medal success, Sleight also broke the English Veteran Record for the unmarked precision 3D round.
Separately, Sleight also set an English record earlier this year - setting a new benchmark in the Veteran Ladies Traditional Recurve Class for the Marked Forester round at an EFAA classification shoot in Ashby-de-la-Zouch in March.
