It's believed to be highest demand in at least a decade

Entries for this year's End To End Walk have hit a big milestone ahead of the 2025 event taking place this weekend.

Organisers have confirmed the number of participants has surpassed the 300 mark, with 303 entries received for the grueling near 40-mile race on Sunday (14 September).

It's also believed to be the highest level of demand in at least a decade.

Race Director, Tony Mackintosh explains why he believes the popularity of the meeting has risen in recent times:

The race itself sees those involved take on a 39.22-mile route starting at the lighthouse at the Point of Ayre and finishing on the southern tip of the Isle of Man at The Sound.

Participants have ten hours and 30 minutes to complete the course.

Meanwhile, race officials say they're aware of the current poor weather forecast for Sunday and will be discussing the matter in the coming days, adding contingency plans are available if necessary.

Race registration will take place at the Manx Harriers Club House at the NSC in Douglas tomorrow (12 September) between 5pm and 8pm.
