It's the Island athlete's second national call-up this year
Manx athlete, David Mullarkey has been called up to represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland at next month's World Athletics Cross-Country Championships.
He's one of seven competitors who'll feature in the senior men's GB & NI side to take on the event in Tallahassee, Florida on Saturday, 10 January 2026.
It's the Island athlete's second GB selection after being picked to take part in the European Athletics Team Championships track event in Spain back in June this year.
Following the announcement, Mullarkey's taken to social media to say he's 'excited' to be heading back to Florida and is thanking British Athletics for the opportunity.
Next month's meeting will be the 46th edition of the championships and the first time they've been hosted in the USA in more than 30 years.
Along with the senior men's and women's races there will be Under-20's competitions as well as a mixed team relay.
