Athletics: Record advance entries for Easter Festival of Running

Event returning for 2022 after two-year absence

A record number of entries have been recorded for the Isle of Man's Easter Festival of Running which is returning for 2022 after a two-year absence.

546 advance entries are already confirmed, with around 350 of those being participants from off-Island.

It'll start with the Quine & Cubbon 10k Road Race starting and finishing on Port Erin Promenade on Good Friday, followed by the Full Factory Winnerswear Peel Hill Races on Easter Saturday.

The event will then be rounded off in Easter Sunday with the Outback 5K Road Races on Douglas Promenade.

Organisers say entries are still available on the day for all three races but a late entry premium fee would be required and around 90 places remain in total.

More details on routes and entry details for the festival are available HERE.

Elsewhere, it's been confirmed more than 200 runners will be involved in the 50th edition of the Manx Mountain Marathon on Easter Saturday.

It'll see those taking part navigate a gruelling 51km of terrain beginning in Market Square in Ramsey at 8am and finishing at Bradda Glen in Port Erin with the leaders expected to complete the route in around five hours.

Also being held on Easter Saturday is the Half Mountain Marathon.

This will start at 1pm at St Johns and follow the southern section of the course to Port Erin - over 100 runners will be involved.
