More than 700 already signed up for three-day series

Organisers of the Isle of Man Easter Festival of Running says there's been record demand to take part in this year's event.

Ahead of the three-day series from Friday, 3 April to Sunday, 5 April, 772 pre-entries have already been confirmed with 468 of those committed to the full festival.

Along with a field of 276 competitors from the Isle of Man expected to take part, the majority of participants signed up are based off-Island with international representation expected from the UK, Ireland, France and Germany.

Officials add this year's entries also reflect strong diversity with pre-entries currently made up of 412 men and 360 women and ages ranging from Under-16 right up to 80+ in the veteran class.

Pre-entries are now closed, however there are 'limited number of places' available on each race day.

Day one on Friday, 3 April will feature the Port Erin 10k which will take place between 4.45pm and 6.15pm followed by the Peel Hill Race starting at 1.30pm the next day (Saturday, 4 April).

The final race on Sunday, 5 April will be the Douglas 5k, getting underway at 9.30am.
