Athletics: Team Morgawne dominate End-to-End walk

The event saw 297 people take part

In the MFX End-to-End walk, both members of team Morgawne finish in the top two with a 30 minute lead. 

Callum Gawne and Dean Morgan finished first and second respectively, separated by just over three minutes.

Gawne completed the event in 6:27:24, while Morgan finished in 6:30:12. 

Ryan Surridge rounded off the top three as he made it to the finish in 7:02:01. 

This year's event, which finished on Sunday (15 September), saw 297 competitors take part - the highest since 2012 and six more than last year. 

Starting in the Point of Ayre, the competition saw participants walk the 39.22 mile route to The Sound in at least 10 hours and 30 minutes. 

Lorna Gleave won the overall Women's category as she completed the race in 7:29:26, with Jayne Farquhar and Kathryn Clough finishing in second and third respectively. 

The u20 category saw Robert Farnworth and Kalease Dale win in the Men's and Women's category as both finished first in Cregneash. 

Top three of the Senior Men saw Tristan Shields, Ashley Humphrey and Morgan Armstrong-Paton finish first to third, whilst Iveta Kamenova, Zoe Lambie and Bobbie Hempsall was the top three in the Senior Women.
