Badminton: Group draws made for 2025 Island Games

Manx squad learns opponents for team event

The Isle of Man's badminton squads now know who they'll face in the team event at this year's Island Games.

The Isle of Man has been placed in Group C along with the games' hosts, Orkney as well as Gotland and Bermuda.

The Manx team will be hoping to build on the tally of three medals they took in badminton at the 2023 games in Guernsey.

Two years ago, Jessica Li and Kim Clague claimed gold in the Women's Doubles; Li secured individual silver in the Women's Singles whilst Li and Matthew Nicholson were bronze medal winners in the Mixed Doubles.

All three of those medal-winning competitors are included in the ten-player Isle of Man badminton squad for this summer's occasion.

The 2025 Island Games will be held in Orkney from 12-18 July.

For badminton, Sunday, 13 July will be a training day before competitions take place each day from Monday, 14 July through to Friday, 18 July.
