Feisty game doesn't reflect scoreline
This week saw the clash of the Turkeys and Hoops.
A scrappy battle from start to finish, there was a fire in the bellies of the Hoops side, who welcomed multiple Island Games player Gemma Kirkham back onto the team.
In the first half of the game, Hoops were on track to get half Turkeys' score, but with a plethora of accurate shots and sharp offence, the long-standing men's team began pulling away in the third quarter.
The women's side certainly didn't make it easy for them though, suffocating Turkeys' attack with strong defensive pressure, leading to them disrupting numerous lay-ups.
Turkeys' continued to storm onto victory, albeit with their feathers a little ruffled.
Final scores on the doors:
Turkeys 70 - 27 Hoops
Darts: Callum Brew crowned world paradarts champion
Snooker: Malew and PSM Legion lead the way
Netball: Manx Rams looking forward to Singlife Nations Cup test
Special Olympics IoM celebrating 40th anniversary
