'The Grenade' became a Commonwealth champion last weekend
Isle of Man boxer, Jade Burden says she's still 'absolutely buzzing' after winning her first ever professional title last weekend.
'The Grenade' was crowned Commonwealth Silver Super Featherweight champion last Saturday (13 June) after stopping Katie Smith in the sixth round at the Tougsheet Community Stadium in Bolton.
Furthermore, Burden remains undefeated at pro level and is now ranked number one in the UK and 19th in the world for her weight division.
The Manx fighter is also thanking the contingent of Island fans who came to support her, saying that backing added 'gas to the fire' to help her claim victory:
Since turning professional in boxing in 2024, Burden now has a record of five wins from all five fights, including two victories by way of knockout.
Looking ahead, she's also revealed talks are ongoing over another potential 'massive' fight in four weeks' time.
No further details have been revealed at this stage, however, Burden is hopeful of making announcements in the coming days if all relevant matters are confirmed.
