Boxing: Island success in Sheffield

One win and two finals for Manx trio

An Isle of Man boxing club enjoyed success at the ABA Silver Gloves Cup Tournament in Sheffield at the weekend (20 December). 

Max Jones from IOM Northern Boxing Club won in his weight category with a commanding victory on standing count. 

Meanwhile, Sean Leonardo and Finnley Richards impressed on their way to their respective finals, however, they were both beaten in the final round. 

Coach Tony Bullock said the event provided 'valuable competitive experience and marked another positive step forward for IOM Northern Boxing Club'.
