 
                            Manxman beaten on points in national title showdown
Isle of Man boxer Mathew Rennie has suffered his first professional defeat this evening (7 December).
Competing for the English Welterweight Title at Wembley Arena, the Island fighter was beaten on a points decision by Sean Noakes.
Before today, his pro tally in boxing had stood at 14 wins and one draw.
Elsewhere in 2024 he'd recorded victories over John Henry Mosquera in February; Mykhailo Sovtus in July and Serge Ambomo last month, all on points.
