Manx fighter wins second belt in less than a year in Australia
Isle of Man professional boxer, Sam Rennie has secured his second title belt following victory in his latest bout last weekend.
The former New Horizon Boxing Club member claimed the vacant Australian National Boxing Federation Australasian Super Featherweight Title following a unanimous points win over Shamal Ram Anuj at the Thunderdome 53 event at Metro City in Northbridge, Australia on Friday, 13 March.
It's the second belt Rennie has won in less than a year after he also secured the WBC Australasian Silver Super Featherweight crown in May 2025.
Furthermore, this success also extends the Manxman's unbeaten professional record to eight wins from all eight bouts since his debut at this level in 2024.
On Island, New Horizon Boxing Club is among those congratulating their former athlete whilst elsewhere, Sam's brother, Mathew - also a professional boxer - says he's 'made up' for his brother 'smashing it out in Australia.'
