Braddan destroy 10-man Town

Glover hits four

Braddan demolished Castletown in JCK Division Two on Saturday.

They won 11-1 at Town to underline their credentials as promotion favourites and inflict potentially serious damage on the southerners’ hopes.

Nathan Cooil had fired Town in front but was sent-off shortly afterwards and the match quickly turned in Braddan’s favour.

The visitors went onto race into a 3-1 lead by half-time before going on the rampage in the second half.

Andy Glover (four), Michael Hutton (two), Conor Dempsey (two, one penalty), Rob Kermode, Ben O’Neill and Jamie Spicer were all on target in the rout.

Governor’s Athletic gave Marown a scare before the Crosby side eventually ran out 2-1 winners.

Cameron Avery netted the winner 14 minutes from time after Daniel Thirwell and veteran Juan Killip had traded goals.

Foxdale put seven past Malew without reply.

Aaron Costain and Jay Chatwood scored two apiece and there were further goals from Liam Cannan, Jack Smith and Fraser Campbell.

Darren Flanagan hit a hat-trick as Pulrose were 9-0 winners over Michael.

Ray Cowell and Dale Walker added two each with Owen Quayle and Joe Canipa also on the scoresheet.
