Car Share Appeal to Football Fans

The Isle of Man Football Association and the Police are appealing to Football fans going to the Inter League Cup semi-final at The Bowl on Saturday afternoon to share cars or use public transport.

The Isle of Man face Southern Amateur League with the match kicking-off at 3pm.

A larger crowd than the 1,300 who turned up for the quarter-final is expected.

Tim Glover reports:-

The roller-coaster ride that has been the Isle of Man's journey in the competition so far has captured the Manx public's imagination.

Two thrilling second half comebacks against Yorkshire (4-3) and Liverpool (5-3) mean a large attendance is almost a given.

Two gates will be open at the stadium to help avoid congestion.

Organisers are appealing to all supporters to keep off the pitch at all times, including half-time, following enthusiastic invasions during the last game to join in goal celebrations - stewards will be on duty at all 34 gates around the pitch.
