
In Saturday’s matches in the Standard Bank Premiership, Castletown beat Cronkbourne and are now level at the top the table with St John’s who were defeated by Ramsey.
The Saints were dismissed for 198 – Phil Littlejohns made 64 not out and Peter Lewis hit 50. Shaun Kelly, Ollie Webster and Chris McConnell each took two wickets. Ramsey then knocked off the runs in only 31 overs with Marc Pons-Burt cracking 56 and Ollie Webster 51. Jaco Jansen claimed 3 for 56.
Castletown amassed 252 for 6 in their game at Tromode with Gareth Morris smashing his third century of the season. Cronkbourne were then bowled out for 133 – Max Stokoe hit 31 and Richard Jackson took 4 for 29.
