The dust has settled after the 2010 Tour de France, and the Columbia-HTC team manager has been reflecting on the performance of his charges, including his star sprinter.
Mark Cavendish won five stages and narrowly missed out on the green points jersey for the second year in a row, despite uncharacteristically not having the legs in one sprint, crashing out in another winnable stage, and losing his lead-out man halfway through the world famous event.
Rolf Aldag says it was incredibly satisfying for them all when Cav proved those who had begun to doubt his ability wrong:
