Manxman edged in sprint finish
Mark Cavendish has finished second on the opening stage of the Tour of Oman.
He was beaten to the line in the bunch sprint by Frenchman Bryan Coquard, who rides for Vital Concept.
Giacomo Nizzolo of Trek Segafredo finished third.
Mark Christian came home in the bunch which came in just after the leaders and was given the same time as them.
