Mark Cavendish took seventh place following a hotly-contested sprint at the end of stage nine of the Giro d'Italia yesterday.
It was won by Italy's Daniele Bennati, who just edged out fellow Tuscan Paolo Bettini in a photo-finish.
Cav also finds himself in seventh in the points classification.
Today sees the riders take a well-earned rest day before resuming tomorrow with the 36km time trial between Pesaro and Urbino.
The short but gruelling stage features a long climb to the finish, plus the ascent of the Monte de Colbordolo.
