Marown’s promotion bid faltered again on Saturday.

The long-time leaders of JCK Division Two stay top but had to settle for a point at home to Foxdale.

A first half penalty from Richard Mulhearn had fired them in front before a superb Andy Chadwick goal earned Foxdale a point.

Onchan kept up the pressure with a 3-1 home success over Malew in a match marred by a broken leg sustained by Fletcher Craine.

Aly Morris, Paul Davis and Brago Smilyanov scored their goals.

Douglas and District secured the result of the day with a 4-3 triumph over Gold Cup chasing Michael.

Goals from Scott Keeble, John Conroy, Jamie Spicer and an own goal fired the ever improving D&D to victory.

Danny Chalk, Paul Corlett and Kenny Diack scored for Michael but they slipped to a surprise defeat.

Craig Dolman was on target as Douglas Royal took full advantage with a 2-1 home win over Braddan.

Tony Edgar, Steven Cowin, Craig Cowin and Nick Firth scored the goals as the Police won 4-1 at bottom club Ronaldsway, while also down south, Colby and Pulrose shared four goals.

Juan Kinvig hit one of the southerners’ goals, while the visitors’ scorers were Craig Cowin and Barry English.
