Colby and Town net promotion boost

Quick-fire Colby down Braddan

A quick fire turnaround by Colby kept alive their promotion hopes in JCK Division Two.

They trailed 1-0 at Braddan half-time, thanks to an Andy Glover penalty.

However, three quick goals in the opening 15 minutes of the second period, courtesy of Carl Hickey, Jim Collett and Ashley Blake, sealed a fine 3-1 win.

Onchan put up a spirited showing against promotion chasers Castletown at The Stadium but it wasn’t enough as Paddy Copper and Jordon Cooper netted the goals for the home team in a 2-0 win.

Lower down the table, Michael were too strong for Malew in a 4-1 home triumph.

Steve Quayle, Jay Chatwood (two) and Pedro were on target.

Kraig Marsh had given Malew an early boost with a fourth minute goal.
