Colby win top of the table clash

Colby underlined their title credentials on Saturday in the best way possible.

They won 3-1 at CFS Division Two favourites Michael to move five points clear at the top.

The top of the table clash was won with goals from Tom Craine (two) and Josh Kelly to maintain the southerners’ 100 per cent record.

Player-manager Nick Hurt scored the Michael goal.

Pulrose stay third but will be disappointed after being held to a 1-1 draw by the Police.

Prolific marksman Dave Skillen was the Pulrose scorer.

Fourth placed Castletown produced a fine 3-2 win at Onchan to continue their fine season – former Island international Mark Thompson was again on target with a double with Carl Clarke grabbing the other.

Adam Drewitt and Mark Preston were the scorers as Malew saw off Braddan 2-1, with Nick Ford netting the reply.

Foxdale notched their first victory of the season with a 4-0 home win over Jurby with the goals from Adam Heyes (two), Robbie Jack and Neil Thomas, while Douglas and District and Ronaldsway shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with James McIlhagga the D&D scorer.
