A strong south-westerly gale and a solid defence were too much for Congleton to contend with when they visited Ramsey in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Four on Saturday.
An early try from skipper Tynan Pritchard gave Ramsey a solid start and further first half tries from Nick McCudden and Stu McConnell, plus a Fintan Cummins conversion, gave them a 17-0 half-time lead.
Congleton failed to take advantage of the strong wind in the second half and it was Ramsey who had the final word when centre Matt Livesey crashed over for his second try of the season against Congleton (he scored in the away game too).
Cummins knocked over the conversion to round the day off at 24-0.
There was disappointment for Vagabonds as they went down 22-14 at home to Bowden in Division One.
