Rachel Franklin wins women's race
Alan Corlett and Rachel Franklin led home the field in yesterday’s second round of the Microgaming Cross Country League.
Hosted by Western AC, the course at QEII High School attracted a good number of entries and it was Corlett (30 minutes 29 seconds) from Christian Varley and Ben Corkill and Franklin (23.30) from the ever-green Gail Griffiths and Elissa Morris who took the honours.
The short course winners Jamie Hayes from Ali Stennett and Mark Corrin, and Julie Harrison from Emily Curphey and Berti Convery.
Rhys Owen and Lorna Spiers won the under 17 race.
David Mullarkey was the leading junior man.
The junior winners were Alex Sorby, M’Kyla Quinn, Cian Howard, Chloe O’Neill, Gethin Owen, Macy Hillier, Corrin Leeming and Alice Cashin.
