Players returning after winter layoff
The local cricket season is set to return this weekend.
Winter has subsided allowing a number of domestic players the chance to get back on pitch.
There's been a few changes, including the removal of the T10 league.
Cricket Development Officer, Greig Wright explains why:
The men's teams will be the first back in action with the T20 Weekend leagues on Saturday (2 May), followed by the juniors on Monday (3 May) and the Women's Division next week on Monday, 11 April.
Greig explains how the sport looks for players aged 16-22:
Players have been using the new indoor centre in Tromode since December.
Greig says the association is already seeing the benefits:
Cycling: Island competitors gear up for national road championships
UltraMann and Race The Sun taking place today
IoM Women to begin 2026 Cherry Godfrey Cup campaign
Rugby: Ramsey not entering English Clubs Championship next season
