Cricket: Hopes new series will boost women & girls game

Female Cricket Super Series gets underway this weekend

It's hoped a new series starting this weekend will provide a long-term boost to women and girls cricket on the Isle of Man.

The Female Cricket Super Series will get underway this Sunday (21 April) - a short-format tournament for female players aged 13 and over running over six weekends from April until September.

Island players Lucy Barnett and Danielle Murphy agree concepts like this could provide more opportunities going forward:
