Cricket: IoM women's team announced for Continental Cup

Manx squad were previous winners of the event in 2023

Thirteen players will represent the Isle of Man women's national cricket team at this month's ECN Continental Cup.

The Isle of Man will be one of eight nations to contest the event which is being held at the Moara Vlasiei Cricket Ground in Bucharest, Romania from 26-30 August.

Played in T20 format, the competition will see the Manx squad take part in Group B against the hosts, Romania as well as Norway and Greece.

The group phase will be played in a round-robin format followed by the semi-finals and finals.

What's more, the Isle of Man are previous winners of the competition in August 2023 - in that year they secured the silverware with a nine-wicket victory over Greece.
