Team heading to Finland later this month
The Isle of Man has named its cricket squad to take on this month's qualifiers for the next ICC T20 World Cup.
A team of 14 has been chosen to represent the Island in the ICC T20 World Cup Europe Sub Regional Qualifiers being held in Vantaa and Kerava in Finland between Friday, 14 August and Friday, 21 August.
The Manx side will compete in Qualifier C along with Bulgaria, Finland, Luxembourg and Spain.
Teams involved in all of the respective qualifiers are vying for a place at the next T20 World Cup which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand across October and November 2028.
The Isle of Man will be begin their campaign this month against Luxembourg on Friday, 14 August at 2pm before a quick turnaround to face Spain in their next game at 9am the following day (Saturday, 15 August).
A day's rest will follow that second game before the Isle of Man then takes on Bulgaria on Monday, 17 August at 9am.
The final group game will see the Island face hosts, Finland at 2pm on Thursday, 20 August with the play-off phase of the qualifier being held the day after (Friday, 21 August).
