Cross leads the way at Meary Veg

High scores in skeet at Santon

Stan Cross was victorious in the latest round of the Cu Plas Callow Winter Series English skeet league at Meary Veg on Sunday morning.

He claimed top spot and the high gun with 49 out of a possible 50.

There was a three-way tie for second spot with Alan Wade, James Simpson and Paul Mihailovits just one shot behind on 48.

There was also some high scores and level pegging for first place in B class.

Jack Clague and Giulio Fabrizio triumphed on 47 with Madeleine Simpson and George Davies joint third on 45.

In C class Roy Moore was the winner on 38 points, two shots ahead of young shooter Allana Wade and David Morgan.

Next week is the second round of the Cu Plas Callow winter series DTL league.

A class: 1, S. Cross 49; 2 (joint) A. Wade, J. Simpson, P. Mihailovits 48.

B class: 1 (joint) J. Clague, G. Fabrizio 47; 3 (joint) M. Simpson, G. Davies 45.

C class: 1, R. Moore 38; 2 (joint) Allana Wade, D Morgan 36.
