Manxman wins in Manchester whilst squad takes men's class title

Manx rider Matthew Bostock tasted double-success last night (24 May) as he and his team claimed victory in the 2022 Sportsbreak.com Tour Series.

Bostock emerged as the winner in the Grand Final men's race of the event in Manchester on Tuesday evening.

On top of that, his Wiv SunGod team claimed overall victory in the men's class for the entire series with their result.

It's the third time the squad have won the tournament, after claiming the title back in 2018 and 2019.

Meanwhile, the Saint Piran team - which fellow Island competitors Tom and Leon Mazzone represent - finish fourth in the overall men's standings and third in Manchester.

Elsewhere, in the women's class, Pro Noctis - Rotor - Redchilli Bikes were confirmed as this year's champions after sealing the title at the previous round in Barking.

Yesterday on the Deansgate circuit they finished second behind Team Boompods.

The result means the Pro-Noctis side didn't finish outside the top two in any of the races throughout the series.
