Becky Storrie and Max Walker in Australia to start new seasons

Two Isle of Man professional cyclists have gotten their campaigns underway on the 2026 WorldTour seasons.

Becky Storrie and Max Walker are once again involved in the women's and men's series' respectively for the coming year with both featuring in the female and male equivalents of the Tour Down Under in Australia this month.

Last weekend from 17-19 January, Storrie contested the women's tour with Team Picnic PostNL where the squad went on to finish 13th in the team standings.

Individually, however, there were positives as Storrie's teammate, Josie Nelson secured two podiums - second place on stage one and third spot on stage two - on her way to finishing 12th in the individual GC classification.

Elsewhere, Walker and the men's Tour Down Under began earlier today (20 January) with the prologue phase of that event in Adelaide.

The first stage proper will see Walker and the rest of the field take on a 120.6km route starting and finishing in Tanunda tomorrow (21 January) with the men's tour as a whole running until Sunday (25 January).
