Darryl Tweed wins MGP Ultra Lightweight

The 27-year-old says "it was perfect".

Darryl Tweed has won the Ultra Lightweight race in the Manx Grand Prix.

The 27-year-old from Northern Ireland saw his best time in his second lap, with an average speed of 107.092mph.

It was a comfortable lead for Ballamoney's Tweed into the last lap ahead of Daniel Ingham in 2nd place, with Alex Sinclair in 3rd.

Tweed was the highest placed Newcomer in 2017, finishing 8th in the senior race.

In the Winners' Enclosure Tweed told Manx Radio "it was perfect, we couldn't ask for any better".
