Daunting away trip for Ramsey

Northerners travel to impressive Birchfield

Rugby - Ramsey are on the red-eye flight tomorrow as they prepare to take on promotion rivals Birchfield away from home.

The Island-side lost the reverse fixture 34-17 in the reverse fixture at the Mooragh Park earlier on in the season, and will be well aware of the challenge they face tomorrow.

Birchfield boast the tightest defence in the league and concede on average fewer than 10 points a game.

They did, however, suffer defeat in their last outing against leaders Ellesmere Port whilst Ramsey head into the game on the back of a 29-10 home win over Oxton Parkonians.

Both are in the running for that all-important top 5 finish.

Ramsey captain Micheal Flynn will be hoping his teammates make it a birthday to remember with a vital win in South Lancashire and Cheshire Division 3 (South) this weekend.
